If I stop to catch my breath
Then the cloud gets in
Exhale, inhale
Devastation.

Each moment of peaceful thought
Skips right to unrest
Skip skip skip skip
Decimation.

When I lie awake for hours
A sea of thoughts churns
Waves crash, drowning
Depravation.
