@ArtHarg @randahl We have to remember that the monthly quantities of diesel are but a small fraction of what the US alone consumes in a week.
I have seen a calculation that suggests that the initial 300,000 tonnes of diesel amounts to 15-16 hours of US diesel fuel consumption.
This will do nothing to reduce pump prices in the US.
Let's just hope that this point is picked up by Fox News and broadcast to its viewers.

Please put more pressure on this Republican Administration to support Ukraine. It is good that they signed the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026 into law, but Russia doesn't seem to be paying much attention.
Russia continues to bombard Ukraine with jet-powered drones. Earlier this week, Russia deliberately targeted Ukraine’s historic National Academy of Sciences, setting the building ablaze. Every day is the same story: civilians targeted, civilians killed, no military purpose whatsoever.
National security experts have said for years that maximum pressure on Russia could end this war quickly.
This Republican Administration promised to end it as soon as they took office in January 2025.
Russia invaded the Crimean Peninsula in 2014 and the rest of Ukraine in 2022. Russia should be subjected to every possible pressure until they end their invasion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will lie and manipulate and stall, as he has done since this Republican Administration took office and started listening to his lies.
I stand with Ukraine, not with Putin. I want you to do everything possible to help Ukraine resist this Russian invasion. I want you to get loud and public about supporting Ukraine with weaponry, intelligence support, and other forms of aid.
