Spotted some commentary on the https://slashfriends.org project in my feed reader. Nice site, but not sure the concept differs from blogrolls.

A /friends page is where you link to the people you like. Remember blogrolls? And the MySpace Top 8? I want to bring that back.

Linking out is generous. It's a free gift that sends traffic, boosts SEO, and says "I like this person."

And because languages are a big part of my nerdy side, I created a new `/languages` page as well. I don't know what the requirements are to get that added to slashpages.net (hello @robb) but it would be very cool to read about other folks' linguistic lore!

People oppose the use of #AI and #LLM because they don't credit or compensate creators. What are your views about the #pirated material distributed by sites like Anna's Archive, Sci Hub, etc? Piracy sites have been operating for decades, long before any AI, offering books, movies, music, software, and more illegally, harming creators. But I never saw anyone adding a "/piracy" page on their website denouncing the use of pirated material.

Updated my personal site with some #SlashPages and other stuff 🌈

New:
- /contact page: an excerpt of the about section I reuse on the home page and under articles just for sharing contact info. Bonus: the bm.gy/card permashortlink leads there and also adds a vCard link :)
- /qr page: shows a QR code pointing to my short domain — may come handy in a pinch :)
- /itches page: random improvements I might make to my site at some point
- A bunch of style and markup improvements
