  1. Orange kitty in his ark during this absolute deluge of Skywater tonight in Davis. I have walked around looking for roof leaks - it’s that much water. He still wants to be outside — but he has an electric heating pad so he’s fine. #cats #rain #skywater

  3. As someone who grew up in drought-stricken California, there is something very special about the first significant rain of the year.

I feel compelled to go out and dance in it.

  5. @LoneLocust We have, exceptionally, had a day entirely free of #SkyWater. (So far, at least.)

  7. It looked mysterious at first and it completely didn’t follow the gate description, but it’s actually really easy to read by just focusing on the pull-down network. From left to right: if C&A | A&B | B&C then we pull the inverter down, thus a majority gate (MAJ3).

  9. The #IEEE conference paper I was working on last year is finally published!

The UC Santa Cruz team did all of the actual silicon design work, while I did the post-silicon bringup, testing, and characterization.

"#SRAM Design with #OpenRAM in #SkyWater 130nm", 2023 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS)

    ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/1

Also presented at OSDA 2023 youtube.com/watch?v=Wm8VV4Ba22

"The SkyWater Open Source PDK on Github is listed as a collaboration between Google and SkyWater Technology Foundry to provide a fully open source PDK and related sources. This so that one can create manufacturable designs at the SkyWater foundry, that target the 130 nm node. Open tools here should mean a far lower cost of entry than is usually the case."

  15. @matthewvenn "Efabless want all the submissions to run a top level timing check" So does this mean that anything that's not synchronous logic is out? Clearly async or domino say will not pass any of the timing tool they have. That's a pretty unfortunate restriction. #tinytapeout #asic #skywater #asynclogic #dominologic #digitaldesign #efabless

  18. I recently came across Princeton's Reconfigurable Gate Array but I can't quite figure it out. I think perhaps it's a story for architecting FPGAs and then evaluating the architectures. Fabrication might not be part of the story - although maybe any foundry would do. Maybe a project for Google's Free Chips offer (see #skywater, #openlane)??
