  1. @SkyingClub Automatically! Lived next to Heathrow for many years, so saw just about every make and model of passenger jet under the sun, every 30 seconds or so (and, yes, Concorde was among them). Pretty sure this cemented my childhood association of the sky with adventure.

Today, I live, quite by accident, in a military aviation hotspot, so regularly see F-15s/35s, Eurofighters and Hawks, and we even have a local Spitfire and Tiger Moth in circulation.

  10. @SkyingClub Hello! I'm not sure if this counts, but I've been circling just below some very active thermal clouds this week that were also being enjoyed by birds and fellow glider pilots alike. Conditions aloft have been extremely clear, as we're still in the early days of this high pressure system, so a good view of the ground and the horizon. Earlier in the week, the frontal clouds that heralded these conditions also had some particularly fantastic textures.

  25. #SkyingHour A4 I often glimpse upwards to do a little bit of #Skying – am always looking for #SunDogs when the weather is right. Always look up to see what #Stars & #Planets are about – & at the #Moon  I am spending more time consciously #Skying nowadays though. Setting aside time & brain space.

  26. #SkyingHour Q2 hat's the best thing you've seen in the sky (or air or space) this week?

    This week I saw a lot of #gliders over #Oxfordshire during a #gliding competition.

  27. Would anyone be up for a #SkyingHour ? One hour a week where we all post our favourite thing on the sky (or air or space) shots that we have taken? Or even just a photo of the sky as it currently appears for you? #CloudAppreciation #Clouds #Bird #Plane #Superman #butterfly #bat #balloon #Storm #wx
