#Skógafoss One of #Iceland 's greatest locations for #WaterfallWednesday An iconic location and also one of the most dangerous: a very narrow path at fairly high elevation, greatly exposed on both the left and right sides, no railings & a bunch of tourists jostling for a view. Some with tripods. 😬

#Iceland dump #3. Onto the #SouthShore
tour, taking in the #Eyjafjöll glacier, still showing signs of the dust from the #Eyjafjallajökull volcanic eruption in 2010. It had its own micro-climate right by the glacier. Rain by it but sunshine and warm just over a km away. Onto the #BlackSandBeach at #Reynisfjara, a stunning place but I'm chuffed with my shot of the horses and riders, kind of dystopian! #Skógafoss waterfall, which has a 500+ steps climb to the top of it, well worth it but knackering! -

A well-known waterfall in Iceland is Skogafoss. If you climb up the stairs next to it, there is a beautiful walk along the river. So, if you go there (and you probably want to after this 😉), take more time there to explore the region.
