In Pomerania, the soon-to-be voivodeship railway SKM Trójmiasto has crossed a hurdle towards taking over regional electrified lines - Polregio's appeal against the award has been dismissed, despite SKMT seemingly undervaluing their offer by about the amount they overvalued their offer for the urban trains they already ran (where Polregio doesn't have the resources to compete). Once more, for English speakers!
Looks like starting this week, #PKPIC has new tariff integrations in the Pomeranian Voivodeship! (No, probably not a joke)
On one hand, all PKP IC single tickets between the Tricity (Gdańsk, Sopot or Gdynia) and any station outside of the Pomeranian Voivodeship are now valid on SKMT and Polregio trains within the borders of the three cities for 75 minutes before the scheduled departure or after the scheduled arrival as shown on the ticket. In the arrival case, you'll be able to request a delay certificate from the PKP IC conductor to start the 75 minutes from your actual arrival time (if your departing train is crazy late, you're kind of screwed, however).
On the other hand, "Taryfa Pomorska" SKMT and Polregio monthly passes are now valid on IC and TLK trains on their route (not commercial EIP).So far, only valid until Railway New Year in December, probably will be extended.

Taka tradycja, nawet udało się wywalczyć swego czasu dyspensę od prawa stanowiącego, że wszystkie bilety kolejowe mają być fakturami uproszczonymi XD
No, ale było wiadomo, że wiecznie kasowników nie będą utrzymywać - jak ktoś chce na pamiątkę, to szybko!

Ah yes, when you're so used to making do with regional stock on your urban railway that when you finally get the opportunity to order a completely new fleet you… get more regional stock, complete with narrow aisles and steps between carriages. Despite already having higher platforms than on the mainline network.
Newag says this is the best they could do given the number of seats required. And that using classical bogies necessitated the steps, but "helps better adjust the floor to the platform level".
Myself, I'm not sure what I expected anymore. Enjoy the seats, I guess - they look like what we know from the Impuls 2s that already run here, those are pretty nice and comfortable (on reflection, isn't it crazy that in this country you often get nicer seats on regional trains than on InterCity these days?).
And maybe I shouldn't be throwing stones - it is a pretty long route.
