  1. We visited the Skjoldenæsholm tram museum on a cloudy day. The two double decker trams are only operated days when there are no dangers of rain.

Sadly we had occasional rain showers through the hours we visited the museum. But next time we will visit the museum on a sunny day!

  2. Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum also has a narrow gauge tram line (1000mm) from the car park and into the museum. A quite original way of entering the museum!

Here is BVB 213 (Basler Verkehrs-Betriebe) coming in to the museum.

Factory: BBC/Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft (SIG)/Schweizerische Wagons- und Aufzügefabrik (SWS), type Be 2/2 - produced in 1933.

  3. Finally back at Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum. I jumped off one of the trams on a station in the forrest, and got some photos with beautiful light coming through the trees.

These two yellow trams were operating in Copenhagen back in the days when the city had trams!

  4. No. 5

This is funnily enough my second most viewed photo over at Flickr.

I've published photos from the open-air museum Skjoldenæsholm. We have visited this beautiful tram museum several times, and we are already looking forward to visiting it again this summer.

Tram line no. 5 opened in 1903 and changed into buses in 1972 as the last tram line in Copenhagen.

  5. Did you know that there once were trolley buses in Copenhagen?

Skjoldenæsholm Tram Museum also has collection of old buses worth seeing. The trolley bus is one of my favourites!

Line 24 between Nørreport, Copenhagen, and Jægersborg
