Finally bought a #Plustek #OpticFilm7300 to properly digitize my home-developed films.

After struggling for a good two hours to get the old SilverFast version to work on my neglected #Windows installation (and finally giving up), I thought I’d give it a try on my #Debian setup. Opened #Skanlite and … simply scanned the negatives. It just worked:

I have just tested #skanlite (#foss scan app for kde linux which can be used with many scanners) for the first time! I feel like my grandpa who was the first in our family to own a flatbed scanner and he basically scanned everything and anything. Hilarious! :D

@gekitsu have you tried #KDE's scanning applications as Xsane replacements? AFAICT they support a similar range of features:
- #Skanlite - a simple, but fully featured scan application
- #Skanpage - optimized for multi-page scans

Gibt es für #linux (konkret #tuxedoos mit #kde ) ein Scanprogramm, mit dem ich auch mehrere Seiten in ein PDF scannen kann? Mit dem Boardmittel #skanlite bekomme ich das nicht auf die Reihe 🤔
