Yesterday I finished playing retro-CRPG "Skald: Against the Black Priory". Described as 'an old school CRPG with modern sensibilities', it's also a cosmic horror story with all that entails, which captures its intended mood really well—you know from early on that things aren't going to end well for anyone, not least you.
Man though, that ending was *bleak*. At least let me struggle a bit more against my and my companions' inevitable fates, y'know?

Yesterday night I was playing "#SKALD: Against the black priory" and at some point I saw a big moth flying a couple of times at the edge of my vision. After a while I decided it seemed too large for a moth, so I raised my eyes and realized it was a bat flying around the room. I bolted to the nearest window and opened it so it could fly away.
This is one immersive horror RPG, but I didn't think it could become *that* immersive.

Well, #BaldursGate3 is one of my favorite games of all time...I'm looking for more CRPGs to play! I'm current playing #Skald and #DivinityOriginalSin2 and I'm greatly enjoying those...what other games can scratch that itch? I've been wanting to play the first two Baldur's Gates but I've heard that they don't use turn-based combat, which is quite a turn off for me....Any recommendations? Bonus points if the game is #indie and has some good #LGBTQ representation. #Indiegaming #GamingOnLinux #CRPG #BaldursGate
