A couple of updates:
#SitesFire: The fire is now 100% Contained at 19,195 acres per Cal Fire LNU. This will be the final update on the Sites Fire unless conditions change.
#ApacheFire: Per Cal Fire the fire is 75% contained.

#PostFire: The fire is now 100% contained & has a final acreage of 15,563 acres per CAL FIRE
These will be the final updates by me on these fires unless conditions change.

Jun 22, 1:27 PMPer Cal Fire LNU - The Sites Fire remains 19,195 acres and is 35% Contained.
Firefighters continue improving control lines in preparation for the heightened temperatures and increased winds that are anticipated through the weekend. Temperatures are expected to be 100+ degrees today. Hot and relatively dry conditions will continue, along with an increase in southerly winds this afternoon.
With the exception of Sites Lodoga Road from Sites to Lodoga, all evacuation orders have been downgraded to evacuation warnings…

#CALFire Incident Management Team 4 Thursday morning update.
The #SitesFire in Colusa County is 19,195 acres & 15% contained. They have 1,532 personnel assigned to the fire.
The #PointFire in Sonoma County is 1,207 acres & 70% contained. They have 1,035 personnel on the fire.

With #sitesfire at 70% containment it is unclear what Ops will do in regards to an aerial assault on the fire today I suspect Helos. However, the Large airtankers are assembled on the tarmac at MCC (Sacramento) but transponders are asleep and no CalFire AA OV-10A spotter lead aircraft are in the air yet. There are 4 incredible airship veteran contractors on standby…10Tanker’s DC10 VLAT 911, Erickson Aero has 2 MD-87 LATs T102 and T103 and the Australian import from Coulson Air T210 converted 737

Jun 19, 1:47 PMPer Cal Fire LNU - The Sites Fire in Colusa County remains at 15,565 acres & 5% contained.
Last night several spot fires were observed with the largest being 10 acres.
Weather concerns today include wind speeds, low relative humidity and high temperatures that can lead to extreme fire behavior.Per radio traffic - Air Attack is currently over the fire and 6 type 1 copters are at scene or enroute to start working the N/E section of the fire, were fire activity remains active.

#SitesFire So #CalFire AA140 lead aircraft out of STS (Santa Rosa) is out mapping the area of the fire…a requirement so ground ops can plot air attack…no transponders on at MCC yet. Not sure if the CalFire Grummans at STS will be working this fire today…still tracking the fire bases

#SitesFire remains at 15,565 acres and 5% containment. Active overnight fire behavior as spotting continues to challenge firefighting efforts. #CALFIRE Team 4 in command. With the low containment and with smoke visibility cooperating I suspect a solid Air Attack today. Definitely helos and probably airtankers. Checked MCC this morning VLAT 910 DC 10, LAT 103 MD 87 and LAT 210 737 are on the tarmac with a significant group of CalFire smaller airtankers that can drop retardant in smokey conditions
