We are proud to announce that our project ReSIstH2 has received funding from the Research Council of Norway. Together with the industry partners the project will build knowledge on protective metal barriers able to mitigate hydrogen embrittlement in the underlying base material, enabling safe transport, storage, and distribution of high-pressure hydrogen gas. #HYDROGEN #SINTEF #NTNU #Materialsresearch

By closely studying how #hydrogen interacts with #pipeline material, our project aims to overcome critical challenges and unlock opportunities for enhanced performance, efficiency, and safety for hydrogen gas transport in both existing and new pipelines. In contrast to HyLINE I, which primarily focused on base metal, HyLINE II will shift its research focus to welded joints.
