We are proud to announce that our project ReSIstH2 has received funding from the Research Council of Norway. By closely studying how #hydrogen interacts with #pipeline material, our project aims to overcome critical challenges and unlock opportunities for enhanced performance, efficiency, and safety for hydrogen gas transport in both existing and new pipelines. In contrast to HyLINE I, which primarily focused on base metal, HyLINE II will shift its research focus to welded joints. -
Nice day at work! Together with colleagues from Finland and Sweden we have managed receive funding (written a good proposal) from a Nordic funding body NordForsk to do research on #hydrogen gas transport in pipelines between the Nordic countries. #materialscience #hydrogenembrittlement #SINTEF

Sukk. Er problemet virkelig at parkeringsplassene er for smale, eller er problemet at moderne biler er for tjukke? Hvis det er det siste, løser vi det problemet ved å ta ut beltet et hakk? Slapt av #SINTEF her, og her bør kommunene være på ballen og fjerne minimumskrav i p-normer sånn at det ikke bare blir enda dyrere og mer arealkrevende å bygge parkeringsplasser.

Using autonomous aerial and ground-based #robot inspectors to collect data, a Norwegian research project is hoping to more efficiently detect structural defects in tunnels and other infrastructure, as well as monitor defects over time.

The project’s senior researcher at #SINTEF, Henrik Lundkvist, is searching for companies who need help with inspections:
“We want to get in touch with more infrastructure owners and other companies who are working in the fields of inspections, maintenance and autonomous vehicles”, says Lundkvist. “We will be happy to demonstrate the system we have developed and offer opportunities for testing.”
