Went for a 8km ride in the woods today. No near death experiences this time, and I had more power that I expected going up the hills (I love hills!).

Spent a great day today shredding singletrack trails with a friend in the Wiener Wald around Vienna. Amazing network of trails, even a public bike park. I could totally live in this city..

Vandaag de 7de rit van de week op de mountainbike gereden. Deze week iedere dag gaan biken. 👌🏻🚴🏻
Het was een fijne week maar vandaag was het iets aan de frisse kant met een beetje te veel wind. 😅💨Gelukkig gaan de temperaturen de komende week weer omhoog en komt de zon weer terug. ☀️🥰

Sobota. Sobota była intensywna. W samo południe wystartowałem w Strzegomskiej Dwunastce. Na taką trasę nie byłem przygotowany. Start oraz finisz pod górę. Dwie pętle. Kontrolowana galopada w dół, po nawrocie, mozolna wspinaczka w drugą stronę. Impreza wspaniała.
A potem były Kaczawskie Single, a dokładnie Gozdo 1 i 2. Mega, szczególnie, gdy nogi utyrane wcześniejszym biegiem. Były momenty. Dwójka ciekawa technicznie, jedynka z fajnym flow.

Wojcieszów. Singletracki Dłużek oraz Okole. Wspaniały przelot pomiędzy nimi. Dłużek? Nuda. Choć dwie gleby zaliczyłem. Okole? W to mi graj. Były momenty. Urokliwy i najciekawszy technicznie. Utyrałem się jak jasna cholera.
Przelot? Z pięknymi widokami i ciekawymi miejscówkami pod przyszłe wyrypy.
Potem wpadły: zajebiaszczy pączek z porzeczkowym sorbetem oraz szejk o smaku maślanki z kruszonką (niebo!) w lodziarni znajdującej się w Świerzawie. -
Against all sober and reasoned medical advice I took my traumatized knee and horror movie spine on the blue singletrack of NW Arkansas and now I feel 80% normal. I can even walk a bit. The best I ever felt in months.
Tomorrow I will of course end up needing emergency surgery when a minor crash leaves me in a rather bad state. But today was a good day.

I've been biking a lot more this year. #Bicycling was my second love (after #basketball) and was a stepping stone to #motorcycles. I'm getting older and recognize that my ability to ride motorcycles is dependent upon maintaining physical fitness. Plus it's hella fun and makes me feel young again.
This #BikeFriday All Packa #foldingbike is kind of like an #ADV do-it-all kind of bike so I thought that I'd send it down some rocky, muddy, and leafy #singletrack. It did way better than me.

As I bend my trashed prescription glasses into alignment again I move sport glasses up the priority list.
Mountain biking and prescription glasses are a bad fit.

Today was often wet, which was fine as we were staying in the same accommodation as yesterday. And above #Strontian, there's a good place for some easy #mountainBiking, with a rocky path, a #singleTrack one and great views.
Tomorrow due to be dryer, we'll be off to #Glencoe by the road and #ferry - which accepts only #foot passengers and #cyclists at present!
