#OBS now supports WebRTC simulcast support.

I understand it'd be a HUGE undertaking, but what kind of time/money would it take to write a library to handle this to get it into #Owncast and #Peertube ?

Right now the single most expensive thing is transcoding. If we can support #Webrtc #Simulcast that moves to end users and the server can is just a pass through enabling anyone to run live streams through their Peertube or someone to run massively more Owncast streams at once.

So I'm being serious. What would this take?

Finally figured out what I needed for my MistServer multi-stream setup. I was having issues streaming HEVC and also transcoding lower bitrate but I have solved those issues! I will be testing HEVC streaming on YouTube soon (maybe tonight), and the transcoding for Twitch. I don't have plans to self-host with owncast at the moment, forgive me.

@geekiga also bei der #OldieAntenne ist der #Simulcast-Betrieb noch eine Altlast aus der Zeit, als der Sender noch nicht im #Bundesmux2 war. Ich hätte hier erwartet oder erwarte eigentlich immer noch, dass man irgendwann die #CountryAntenne aufschaltet. Das wäre aus meiner Sicht logisch.
Das #KlassikRadio irgendwo doppelt sendet, ist mir bisher gar nicht bewusst gewesen. 🤷🏼‍♂️
