  1. @nikhil Wanted to belatedly reply back and let you know that I'm using #Simplifi now. Auto-retrieving and categorizing transactions from all of my bank and investment accounts is essential for my budgeting, bill planning etc - I have too many to manually keep track of and not enough braincells to be across it without the insight. Very good price and very helpful. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier with this response and thanks for the info re #Pockity.

  2. Apparently, the way to get to a human on the #Simplifi support chat instead of the Artificial Stupidity bot is to be rude to the Artificial Stupidity bot. Then it will figure out you're frustrated and offer to refer you to a human.

This is, of course, not what the bot or the written instructions say you need to do, but it's what works.

  3. "That software won me over big time. I used it for over 20 years to help manage my finances and there’s no doubt it was a critical tool in my toolbelt toward reaching financial independence."

  4. Still enjoying #Quicken #Simplifi after about a month and a half. With the #Intuit #Mint shutdown coming in March – well, transition to what by all accounts is a subpar experience in #CreditKarma – I’m glad I was able to find a good replacement.

They recently announced a full one year trial for switchers:

I contacted them, and they refunded my payment for this year. So far I’ve had several great interactions with them, and this one was particularly nice.

  5. if you used #mint, what financial tracker have you migrated to? I went to #simplifi. I tried #monarch but some of my accounts, like my bank, couldn't load in. plus it was more expensive.

  6. Our household time budget did not include “find another personal finance solution and completely migrate to it in the first weeks of your newborn’s life”, but here we are thanks to #Intuit shutting down #Mint.

Out of everything I tried – Monarch, Lunch Money, Rocket Money, Copilot, Personal Capital (before it became Empower), and more – only #Quicken #Simplifi connects to all 18 of my accounts. It provides the features I used in Mint: transaction tracking and reports. Refund tracker is a bonus.

  7. Update: #Mint is being shut down and users are being shunted over to Credit Karma, which is *not* budgeting software and has almost zero functionality for that purpose. I am now trying #Simplifi from Quicken, which is so far pretty good. It does cost money ($28 per year with discount). More importantly it does not yet have the feature to exclude part of a split transaction from your budget, which was one of my most-used Mint features. #budgeting #personalfinance
