SofaTime è veloce e molto simile a TVTime.

The UI of Trakt tv , which I've been using for 15 years (since 2011), used to be perfect.
Then, the product managers, who clearly don’t understand their customers at all, came along and absolutely ruined it. I mean, I can't even check in to an season in bulk anymore. I'm completely lost in the interface, which should be optimized for mobile view but it isn't.
Damn it.
Good thing I exported my data to Simkl , and self-hosted Yamtrack and Ryot.

I wonder what exactly is was that pushed Trakt to massively disappoint grandfathered account owners. They must be in shock seeing the number of cancellations. Many of them are migrating to #Simkl as subscribers. I'm still seeing new ex-Trakt users in Simkl's discord chat. 🤣 (1/2)

We're now in Trakt migration 2.0.
The move by Trakt that triggered Trakt Migrtation 1.0 was understandable, they have to make money.
But in this latest move, messing with grandfathered accounts, no, not understandable.
You just don't mess with grandfathered accounts ever in any service. That's your way of saying, "Thank you for always being with us since the beginning".
My mobile network plan is a grandfathered account, and the network have been trying to get us to "upgrade" to a "better" plan. Ad that's to mention one such.
Even in gaming, grandfathered accounts are not touched ever. If they cancel, that's the only time things change. Why? Simple, the current contract/subscription ended. So, the next time the user subscribe, it will be under the current scheme.
In addition, owners of grandfathered accounts will do everything to keep it. They'll borrow money if it comes to that. You have grandfathered accounts that are paying you but the owners are rarely using it. Compare that to the owners cancelling their grandfathered accounts because it no longer has any value for them.
Just like right now. Many are cancelling because.
Time to move to #NeoDB or #SIMKL
Pick NeoDB if you want to be in the #Fediverse. Or, pick SIMKL if you want free "Pro" just by logging-in at least 20 days.
Both NeoDB and SIMKL combines various databases into one easy to use interface.

Oh, how I wish there were a Fediverse version of Trakt or Simkl! Like Bookwyrm but for TV-series and movies.

The #SIMKL platform needs to clarify what they meant by “All submitted reviews become the licensed property of Simkl.” It's vague and can be interpreted in various ways.
For example, that wording appears to me that when I submit reviews, I transfer ownership to them. The reason for this is they used the words “become” & “property”.
Thus, “become the licensed property” would mean that I transfer ownership then they license it however they want, since it is now their property.
See: https://support.simkl.org/knowledgebase/articles/905976-reviews-guidelines
They can just follow/copy #TMDb's Section 2.b.
https://www.themoviedb.org/terms-of-use
Or, @trakt 's Section 5.d. https://trakt.tv/terms
Which is pretty much the standard for #UGC or #UserGeneratedContent.
For example, I want to submit a review. I definitely am not transferring my ownership, I am only granting an irrevocable license…
“Granting an irrevocable license…” is different from my content becoming “the licensed property of <service>”.

From the first look, I thought #Simkl would be it. But after taking another look I quickly changed my mind.
The layout seems very cramped and convoluted, especially tucking all your lists into the right corner.
Per-show infos look real nice, but as soon as I clicked a specific episode it opened THE WEBSITE to show more than the episode title which is a no-go.
Almost no specific settings either and lifetime is a whopping $149.

So I've downloaded several apps to replace SeriesFad: #SeriesGuide, #Hobi, #Simkl Lists and #Showly.
First thing I noticed is that none of these apps offer full functionality without premium. For SeriesFad lifetime premium I paid 2,49 € in 2016 and from what I remember it was simply to remove the ads. I might not remember correctly, but all other features were free. Of course, I loved the app and had used it for over 3 years at this point, so I gladly paid.
