Each caterpillar spends days enclosing itself in a cocoon that is later unspooled and combined with many others to form fabric that seems to hold light within its threads.

1994 U.S. pressingAnother great, under-appreciated 90s band that never quite broke through, but have their cult following and are beloved by other musicians.
The last record before Phelps left the band, it is full of raw, off-kilter, but VERY engaging indie rock tunes. It has a very “live” feel to it; like the band are playing in the room, and they just left the rough edges on.
The bass and drums are very prominent, which makes sense, because it’s a record that was made by Steve Albini.
A really killer record.
Sadly, their drummer Michael Dahlquist died in a 2005 car accident, when another vehicle INTENTIONALLY rammed his, killing him and two other musician friends.

Renowned worldwide for his research into sericulture, Ishiko bred a new type of silkworm that create peanut shaped cocoons with very flat thread.

#Fibroin (silk protein) is extracted from silk cocoon fibres: just a small amount of it gives food a softer, moister texture, and helps to bring out the flavour of other ingredients. (relevant part starts at 9:00, but it is worth watching the whole video, only 13 min long)
