Atlas Mountain Race is fakenews. Hasn't really happened yet. Still too fresh.

Any content from it still needs to mature. Like good cheese. Kyrgyz cheese, in fact.

Yes. Like Kurut! 😅

So here is my well cured day 11 report of the last Silk Road Mountain Race. 😉😄

On another note:

Felt suspiciously amazing for a first ride after Kyrgyzstan today!

Apparently l slacked so hard there that it was indeed a pure high altitude camp? 🙈😎😅

Can you do a more typical „bikepacking bike in Kyrgyztan“ photo than one leaning against a Yurt? #BAAY (Bike against a Yurt) instead of #BAAW 😅😀

To tent or not to tent (at the Silk Road Mountain Race) - that is the question.

A few ponderings alongside some photos of my really lovely camp in Kyrgyzstan:

Silk Road Mountain Race. Wow - what an adventure!

When I applied for the race I wasn’t really sure whatfor. There was no really strong „why“.

Wrote this and quite a bit more on my Insta (sorry, Mastodon, Threads and Bluesky simply don't allow enough characters even for such super short story telling). So hit the link for the words and the short video reel of my first thoughts on the race.

Aiziet, divi letiņi Silk Road Mountain Race 2025.

While we're on the topic of retro and iconic Headshok Cannondales: This rig was ridden in no less of a race as last year's #silkroadmountainrace:

Rīt sākas viens no lielākajiem #bikepacking pasākumiem Pasaulē — Silk Road Mountain Race.
