Just a head‘s up: here are all of the #SilentFilm and Transitional sound films I could see on TCM‘s schedule for June. Unfortunately, it seems to be mostly just #SilentSundayNight

Sadly, there’s no #SilentFilm or transitional sound films on this week’s TCM schedule until next week’s #SilentSundayNight which will have the Jackie Coogan dramedy “The Rag Man” (1928)

Just head’s up: There’s 2 transitional sound films on Friday morning: The RomComs “A Lady of Chance” (1928) and “Jazz Heaven” (1929) + next week’s #SilentSundayNight has the 1923 crime melodrama “The First Degree” starring Frank Mayo and Sylvia Breamer

Also, Here’s all of the #SilentFilm / transitional sound film I could see on the TCM schedule for July (some of the times later in the month might be off since I was guestimating)

Sadly, this week’s TCM schedule only has the “Yellowface…” documentary early Thursday morning which features some #SilentFilm / transitional sound era clips. And next week’s #SilentSundayNight will be celebrating #MemorialDay with the #SilentFilm comedies “Soulder Arms” (1918) & “A Sailor Made Man” (1921) starring Charlie Chaplin and Harold Lloyd, respectively

Next week’s #SilentSundayNight has a Yasujirō Ozu Japanese #SilentFilm comedy double feature of “Tokkan Kozô”/“A Straightforward Boy” and “Daigaku wa Detakeredo” / “I Graduated, But…” both from 1929.

Sadly, there’s no #SilentFilm or transitional sound films on this week’s TCM schedule until next week’s #SilentSundayNight: The comedy “Die Austerprinzessin” AKA “The Oyster Princess” (1919) starring Ossi Oswalda

@moira yup! Harrison Ford was a big star in the silent era but mostly in romantic dramas until big talkie star Harrison Ford who’s mostly an adventure film dude. Funnily enough they both have stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6665 Hollywood Boulevard (silent era Ford) & 6801 Hollywood Boulevard (talkie Ford)

I'd get a new chauffeur, Leary.

It would've been funnier to put him in leiderhosen, but, well, I guess the Great War wasn't very long ago so there you are

Huh, "Flashlight" Freddie meaning a flash for a camera, neat.

"all fat men are womenizers" is not a cliche that survived to modern times now is it

I am so glad that TCM is showing “The Life of the Party”- it’s more dramatic than most of Roscoe Arbuckle’s other films but it’s still got a nice humorous streak to it and some great physical bits in there

@analgesicsleep Wasn't expecting the out-the-window gag followed by a serious attempt to litigate, no xD

#TCMParty #SilentSundayNight #TheLifeOfTheParty #SilentFilm #RoscoeArbuckle

@analgesicsleep the puns are pretty thick early on aren't they xD

A while back I watched Evelyn Preer in two short, early talkies from 1929 “The Melancholy Dame” (https://youtu.be/WRu1bHbRFk8), “The Framing of the Shew” (https://youtu.be/LZ4H-DjDaig) Really interesting stuff from the early sound era.
