I'm strongly of the mind that genuine masculinity is a good thing, but not masculinity for masculinity's sake. And never out of ego or vainglory, but the kind of quiet strength that is ready to serve others.
I think #Sikhs exemplify this well, at least in their stated beliefs. I haven't known any personally, unfortunately. They seem very interesting.
