Natalie showing us how to stay cool in the heat of the summer here in Valencia. It was actually much cooler in April when we shot this and she was such a professional working in the water despite the wind and temperature.

Natalie, in this dress, on this windy day at the beach was (and still is) breathtaking. Natalie and I spent months trying to be in the same place at the same time to do a shoot together. It was definitely worth the effort.

I'd noticed a Red-winged Blackbird repeatedly perching on this thin tree for a bit, and then flying away. It took a while, but I eventually managed to get a shot of it taking off.  Patience paid off.  :)

Took a walk through the Center for Urban Horticulture again recently, and this Marsh Wren was simultaneously the smallest bird I saw and the *loudest*.  The crows were the most numerous and, collectively, louder, but this little guy was punching way above his weight.

The rabbit, on the other hand, was completely silent and I would have missed it entirely if it hadn't moved.
