Went for a little bit of a hike with the cats today, down the trail towards te Big Four Ice Caves but stopped at the Stillaguamish River to let them frolic at the shore.
The problem is that neither if them are really big on frolicking. Yuri's much too serious most of the time, and Sputnik mostly just felt like sulking.

We took the cats on a bit of a hike yesterday. Sputnik was, as ever, the Master Hunter. If you look closely, you can see him, cleverly hidden entirely behind the small sprig of huckleberry.
There was a camp site a couple hundred yards away with a dog, and also a zillion small birds flying around. They both attracted a lot of attention from the cats. I'm not sure which one he was so engrossed with here.

Some days I think that Yuri suffers from some sort of Attention Surplus disorder. Taking him for a walk in the woods requires stopping to study *everything*. In order.

#caturday came early today. I took Yuri for a walk in the woods and let him lead. I'm not sure that I've ever seen him happier.
