I finally watched "Shutter Island" just now.
After my disappointing movie endeavors yesterday, this one certainly did not disappoint me. Damn, that was quite impressive.
The very end is very depressing, but well, it is fitting, after all.
So, yeah, good movie, fucked up and depressing in many ways, but in a well-done way.
Next post with some personal views, slight spoilers and insults to humans.

Shutter Island was a deliciously scary psycho-thriller. The slow build of intrigue and darkness is relentless and exciting. The 3 acts in the book are perfect, with a satisfyingly firecracking twist at the end that makes you rewind the entire plot and question everything.

Hoy para los cinéfilos es como un festivo nacional. Y es que hoy cumple años (82) Martin #Scorsese
Quedarse con una sola de sus películas es sacrilegio, pocos como él han reflejado las contradicciones del ser humano. Tiene películas que son iconos del cine del siglo XX como Taxi Driver, Toro Salvaje o Uno de los nuestros.
Puestos a recomendar a jóvenes cinéfilos que no conozcan mucho de su filmografía, y sabiendo que tiene mejores, os diría que podéis comenzar con #ShutterIsland (2010), un thriller psicológico lleno de giros y sorpresas. A ver si esa os abre las ganas de ver sus otras joyitas. -

So far this week I have watched a few movies that everyone loved, but I was lukewarm (at best) towards at the time.
#Dunkirk - significantly better than the British Army propaganda tosh I took it for on my first watch. "I'm staying...for the French" still made me cringe.
#Interstellar - A really well-made science fiction movie ruined by a fair bit of silliness in the third act (and some odd decision-making by the film's scientists)

There are some terrific movies in your list, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to consider any of them classics. I guess time is the only real test of whether a film is or is not a classic
