A Tune Tuesday theme of Unexpected Whiplash, meaning songs that change between genres, beats, tunes, etc mid song. I can't think of anyone better at this than Shpongle (most of their tunes are basically 2-4 songs rolled into one). So here is Around the World in a Tea Daze

Listening to Simon Posford's "Flux & Contemplation - Portrait of an Artist in Isolation", and it reminds me that, yeah, there really was a moment during the pandemic shutdown where we all kinda fixated on numbers stations, didn't we?

#alexgrey #shpongle amzn.to/4nuE8eE

So "What Was That" is the theme for Tune Tuesday and how can I not go with a song from Shpongle? This song starts out kinda chill with flute and concertina and then midway through it switches into a high energy salsa dance party with Indian (I think) singing, because why not?

Oh, the #TuneTuesday theme is #180Degrees asking for songs that take a surprising turn and I was drawing a blank for the longest time and then I was like duh, this song takes like 4 turns.

I went to a #shpongle performance yesterday together with about 1500 enthusiastic fans from all over the world, in the middle of the #thai #jungle. I'm new to the genres around #psychedelic #music and not interested in doing mushrooms (unlike most of his fans, I suspect). 🤪😝 But I did enjoy quite a few of the tracks and the overall vibe a lot. 🥰😇 If only I didn't have stomach pain from my hernia... 🫣

Is there anything Simon Posford has worked on that hasn't been blessed by the Fish Lords of the Fifth Astral Plane? It's all absolutely brilliant. #hallucinogen #shpongle #youngerbrother #infinityproject

Take 3!
Lossy because the file ended up being too large.
I'm a huge fan of Shpongle. Their music just speaks to me in a way I can't properly describe.
As such, I decided to make this as a way to say thanks and to show praise to one of the greatest teams in music ever.
I had a blast putting this together and hope it's enjoyed as much in listening. I'm feeling inspired to make more mixes like this.
Remix Title:

Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness
Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness (Esionjim remix)
