On September 22, 1995, Showgirls debuted in the United States. Here's some Nomi fan art and a punk patch design inspired by the film's Japanese poster typography to celebrate!

B-Movie Enema's original "magnum opus" - Showgirls. This is one of those movies that I think is so bad it's good. It's certainly gained a cult following in the years since 1995 and has found a very specific niche in the LGBTQ+ community which I find very nice.

Once upon a time my review of Showgirls was the longest review in terms of word count in B-Movie Enema history. I don't think it would even rank in the top five longest anymore, and definitely nowhere near as long as a movie I'm reviewing next month. Still. This was once a magnum opus.

In Ghana 🇬🇭 when posters can't be imported, local artists will bootleg them to the best of their abilities. Some often are more imaginative than the official studio releases.

#Showgirls (1995)
A mysterious young drifter who calls herself Nomi Malone hitches a ride to Las Vegas, where she finds work as a stripper and sets about clawing her way to the top of the Vegas showgirls.

I call this leggy beauty by the backdoor Elizabeth Berkley, because she's a real "Showgirl." #flowers #garden #gardening #pennsylvaniagardens #showgirls #elizabethberkley #canna #cannas #cannalily #cannalilies #posies

In honor of Showgirls being a #goth movie, all of us in reasonable distance from Santa Ana, CA should have a goth meetup at one of these showings. I'm opting for the Friday showing because it's early and I know a lot of you old heads can't stay up late anymore, but I'm flexible.

So the #VinegarSyndrome 4K box of #Showgirls arrived the other day. Hop in, pard. Always remember the power of Nomi: one of the first things she does is stab a car radio so it starts playing “Vision Thing” by the #SistersOfMercy

I'll bring it here: The #Showgirls #Scumbag #Tierlist

@SaltiredPopcorn My Gen-Z-ers insisted on watching #showgirls last night. My wife and I fondly recall laughing our heads off at it when we saw it at a movie theatre in LA. The whole audience began to laugh after a while. It was a fun & fascinating movie experience.

I've seen bits & pieces since then but never sat down to watch it.

It's seriously awful. My kids loved that about it. It was a fantastic Mystery Science Theater 3000 experience. Having been part of a cinematic fiasco myself (I wrote & produced a monstrosity called "Bordello Of Blood"), I understand on a very organic level how/why this happens.

Monday means it is video time again. For those kind enough to check any of them out.
I must apologise, but as you can tell from the lack of editing and finesse, I am not technically savvy. Which explains the lack of subtitles. Or anything else that might be more helpful than my usual movie chatter.
