I’ve just been watching a #TOTP from 1977. #Showaddywaddy were doing their 1950s shtick as per. And in those days, we knew that that was retro. It was only twenty years on from the fifties.

It’s now 2026. Would we really notice someone playing in a 2006 style? Nope. To me this either means that music stopped evolving sometime in the 1990s or that we’ve been living in a simulation since 2000.
