I want to write a blog post but I've been dealing with either a bad elbow/arm or carpal tunnel syndrome. I have to take frequent but short breaks from sitting.

(2-103)

Of course, I'm tempted.
Giving up might set me free,
free of all my dreams.

But I choose to keep going.
I choose my true self, always.

I have a short leash
I only use for my heart
to prevent escapes

It is too easy
for the thirsty little thing
to bolt for a drink

Before you know it
I am rescuing my heart
from the deep water

But unrepentant
they will ever try again
anticipating

My dear foolish heart
no sense of self protection
a leash it must be
