#short-poems — Public Fediverse posts

a brand new day, starry eyed potential. slough off the mire and tar of yesterday. step into the now. lend your hand and bend your ear as your previously slumbering phylum and family rise from the same muck as you. look ahead. shift your weight. push. go. explore.

together.

Help the Saved

I wish I should be dead as I awake,
For my or your sake.
Just have me supper fed,
And that I arise dead.
In my chest a stake or blade
I should surely fade.
Tears mean nothing much
Yet they come as though to rush.

Angel eyes

Where are the eyes that looked so fine.
And in the dark morn shine
Those that look upon all with glee
And in the face of anger do not flee.

The face that looks upon me
As though gold I should be.
Upon me fair your gaze.
But to seduce you, such a maze.

Running from the sea

I want to cry an ocean.
And be a martyr of a war I had never faced.
I wanna drink a satisfying potion.
That took me afar that I chased.

Waterfall of tears
Spouts a rushing pool,
Which collects and entraps my fears.
Imperfections banished.... I am nought a fool.

Maybe I just need to cry.
Maybe I need a hug
I do sigh.
But only grunt and shrug.

I have written 20 #poems in total on my Wattpad!

I'm gonna start a new book and and add new ones to that.

Here is one:

Grain of sand,
In my hand,
Where'd you come?
You're no bigger than a crumb.
Were you of creature or land?

I carried you from days forgot,
I perhaps spent with friends that have rot.
From beach, brought by tide,
You've been for quite a ride,
Now off you trot.

Entice

They told "Beware the hags that roam the sea."
But that wasn't what found me.
As I was wreaked and afraid.
She a pretty maid,
With long dark hair
And face so fair.
Her skin so silky pale.
And her legs were a tail.
She told me of the place no men knew
And I soon forgot of ship and crew.
As she invited me to were she had came,
I only have myself to blame.
