Hollywood is going through big changes now. Has been for a while, but the merger adds an exclamation point to ongoing consolidation and layoffs, an industrywide creative stasis, and production moving away from California. You could say Hollywood is dying, but Hollywood is always dying and being reborn. I wrote this story series about the emotional impact of what's been happening. Today is the last story in the series.
