From the Gowanus Expressway, the Queen Mary 2 towering over #RedHook today. Ship was clearly blowing smoke out of its funnel, not connected to #shorepower, so spewing dangerous PM2.5 CO2 SOx & NOx into the Brooklyn air. How long will this be allowed to continue? #health #climate

One difference between Rotterdam & NYC using cruise ships as emergency housing in the future. Rotterdam is investing in #shorepower so ships will no longer idle 24/7, burning dirty diesel at berth & polluting port-side neighborhoods.
