Another good place for rainy days are Japanese shopping streets. These are often covered (so rain is no problem) and offer everything from ¥100 shops to opticians, bridal wear, mobile phone shops, and hairdressers.

Osu is the shopping district of Nagoya and many of the Osu Shotengai Shopping Streets are roofed building a massive network of around 1.200 shops for all kinds of interests.
Including shrines with LED screens and drop by churches!
