    Do you know what hasn't really changed in the last 60+ years? There are probably a number of things, but what I'm thinking of are shopping carts. The basic design hasn't changed since 1947 when Engineer Orla Watson designed the nesting cart with a swinging panel in the back to allow them to stack horizontally in order to save space. Watson also added the child seat. Sure, now-a-days some are made of durable plastic, but the design is the same. But the basket on wheels design goes back to 1937 and the Humpty Dumpty supermarket chain in Oklahoma. It's an interesting story which I don't have room to relate here, but here is a link:
