Over the years we've been proponents of the #ShopEthical website. As they should, Shop Ethical give 'scam'azon an 'F' rating, .

There's a pattern with the more ethical products. They were basically always the locally-produced, organic and #biodynamic foods, and never #fastFood chains.

We would agree, but money is needed by people. Instead of demonising monetising things we should be asking where our money goes, what is it encouraging when we spend on some 'x' or 'y' thing?

We can democratise our world by choosing #SOLE (sustainable, #organic, local, ethical).

It seems unless one orders something online, or goes abroad to purchase a phone/modem **or computer**, its impossible to obtain a new, #ethical device. By "ethical" it means, easily removeable/#replaceableBattery, a sane (smaller) size (#phones), no #fingerprintScanner hardware, easily flashable with #FOSS firmware.

Imagine if instead of focusing on building nuclear subs, #Australia focused that $370b on ethical devices that protect people from abuses.

ORGANIC FARMING FAILURE in #SriLanka.

Apparently one of the reasons for President #GotabayaRajapaksa's downfall earlier this year was his "overnight" shift to organic #fertiliser.

It apparently resulted in a 20% drop in #grain yield.

Also #tea yield "dropped tremendously".

Surely there's a way to grow tea using #organicFarming or #biodynamic farming methods.

In terms of tuna it could be either the #heavyMetals or what they were fed for #Australian market.

For soy, and other farmed products that are sprayed with toxic herbicides, pesticides and fungicides it appears to affect the #gutFlora/#microbiology of the digestive system.

After going #organic (and #ethical) all health problems disappeared, almost immediately.

We have taken so many steps away.

What really accelerated our focus was #ShopEthical, then one thing led to another and we have fully embraced #SOLE.

And #rethink, #reduce, #repair, #compost and more.

But yes. We still may use a bit of dead dinosaur (#oil) to get around, though we are extremely economical with our use.

We've known people will intense #digestion, #skin, #appetite and other issues. Going #organic, #ethical and #bigFish-free fixed them – even #reflexes improved.

Though we support #urbanFarms, farm-to-fork distances being reduced, and flow-on benefits for #communities in doing this, it cannot be at the expense of #nutrition and seedFreedom.

We don't know what that person's beef is with us but they supposedly love #Disney and #corporateMedia setting the #culturalAgenda so maybe that is a clue.

Towards the end of this #Nike #advertisement she screams, "Of course #theInternet will break!" This seems to be in line with signals from the the #corporateState, signalling that the internet might be attacked. Not a positive vision.

Its too early for us to talk of #shopEthical.

Depends where in the would you are, but the US reportedly have a good certification standard for organics.

If you visit your local independant organic grocer you may see "#sprayFree" which is a step down from organic but still better than sprayed.

Honestly though, just switching to ethical had health benefits for us. Search "Shop Ethical" and the brand you are thinking to buy. The #ShopEthical site worked well for brands in #Australia but might not where you are.

Generally speaking #sustainable = #SOLE. Small, organic, local, ethical.

#Ethical also means #FairTrade. To us if you search for something and you get a few ads based on that search then thats #askAndReceive type stuff, which is not a big issue.

Check out #ShopEthical for info on many businesses (available in #Australia. Your country might have something similar).

Yes this problem is often referred to as the #raceToTheBottom. Most #CEOs are just good at convincing people to #workHarder for less, and #environmentalVandals.

In #Australia we have a resource called #ShopEthical. Its a #website that lists #brands and the #corporations they are operated by, it informs the user of any known breaches of #ethics. It might help you in the country you're in.

Work at an place that's devoid of ethics, to afford stuff you don't need (again from #unethical #corporations), to impress people you don't even like.
