Remember those old laundromats? A walk around St. Petersburg you will find a number of quirky shoppes & eateries. The Dirty Laundry is a Speakeasy bar/café that looks like an old style laundromat complete with a pay phone inside with a neon sign that says “Talk Dirty to Me”. I loved the look of the outdoor décor with the red seats. My photo turned into painting.

They say a dramatic entrance makes a lasting impression. Indeed, it does. This front entrance of this playhouse that caught my eye while walking around in downtown Asheville. The mural on the wall represents various audience members waiting in line to attend the play; from stage directions they seem to enter from 'stage left'.

This Quilt Block on the Pensecola Route is known as Summer Sun. My photograph that I took unfortunately has a multitude of power lines crisscrossing. Never happy with several attempts to clone out those lines I turned the photo into a painting. The brush strokes create a lovely sweep of movement to the hillside grass & accent the barn's rustic charm.

The palm trees swaying off to the side of the road by the classic 1955 Oldsmobile Super 88 automobile invokes the nostalgia of a sunday drive. Outside Havana - Drive Back is a nod to the old classic cars driving around in Havana. Only this particular 1955 vintage car was parked outside Havana restaurant in Miami's South Beach.
