#NowPlaying, or should I say #BeenPlayingForAWeekOrSoNow:

As @MQsto put it, Blackwater Holylight sounds like #ElectricWizard mashed w/ #SmokeFairies. Like #shoegazing #stoner #doom?

Fabulous sound! Very unique. Good songwriting too, it's not just the sound (tho that _is_ the major attraction here).

To have a quick taste, try this:

Interestingly, their earlier stuff ain't nearly as interesting, imho. It's only now coming together so perfectly.

Stars and the Underground - Echolocation (ft. Hannah Berry) out now 🌃

"The song presents the dreamier, more shoegazing side to the band’s sound, with the ethereal vocal backing of Hannah Berry."

Sometimes my monthly playlists lean more to alt rock or indie music, but this one's firmly in the punk rock camp, covering hardcore, pop-punk, ska-punk, street punk, proto-punk and indie punk - basically, most of the punks.

Alongside that there’s still room for some warm early 90s alt rock feels, lo-fi 00s garage rock and modern post-punk.

It starts with Shellac, because of course it does, and then there's garage punk, heavy post-punk, a dash of hardcore, something I want to call punk-gaze, and not one but two songs that spell out their S-O-N-G T-I-T-L-E-S. And that's just the start of it.
