Listening to some #korean #psychedelicrock by #shinjoonghyun at work. I was only familiar with his music through #kimjungmi ‘Now’ album, which now made me realize I do not have a digital copy as I only have it on #vinyl record. Another reason why vinyl collecting can be cumbersome. Give this album “Beautiful Rivers and Mountains” a try.

At last night's Japanese Breakfast gig, they played this song on the PA before the gig. It caught my attention and I had to Shazam it, and now I discovered a whole lot about Shin Joong-hyun 신중현, who is an absolute Korean Rock legend. He formed the first South Korean rock band back in 1962 and was imprisoned and tortured under Park Chung-hee.
And he's still alive today, 87 this year.
