As BM1 states, the tower has "...legions of super-fans" and I count myself among them.

If you haven't already seen it, "Abroad in Japan" visited the Nakagin Capsule Tower back in 2021, and a follow-up video one year later in 2022. They are bittersweet videos, as the tower has since been dismantled in 2022.

Argh. The guy doing the English announcements on this monorail pronounces #Shinbashi like "shin bashy" ... like a toddler tripped and hurt his leg. "Waaaah, Mommy! Shin bashy! Owie!"

The Nakagin Capsule Tower was built in 1972 and demolished in 2022, marking its 50th anniversary. 23 capsules were preserved.
The 13 & 11 story building A & B are twin towers, totalling 140 capsules. Each capsule is ~10 sq m.
I regret I never had a chance to see this tower with my own eyes.
