Tea number 9 from a recent Pu-Erh.SK tasting flight seems to be an old school rustic puerh with more than a little age. A bit smoky, clean storage character, complex flavor, enjoyable calming energy.

I was looking around last night for something interesting to drink and noticed this "Jing Mai 2004" (raw puerh) from Farmer Leaf. I don't know any details about this tea beyond that it seems to have been included with another order as a bonus (I think maybe after one of my orders disappeared in transit). Farmer Leaf's first incarnation didn't exist until 2011, so it can't really be a 'Farmer Leaf" tea. However, William's in-laws were in the tea business in Jing Mai prior to 2011, so perhaps a find in the family warehouse. Fairly strong storage character, mild bitterness, and soft tea flavor would be how I would describe the flavor. Energy is chest centered, clean, and relaxing.

A nice comforting cup of puerh for a rainy morning. I like to drink with the weather, so today I'm having a geosmin heavy, Hong Kong traditionally stored, raw puerh from Yeeon Tea.

Raw Puerh perception spot check with 2009 "Douji's Jingmai" from Pu-Erh.SK. I think this was a part of a sample set which featured "Douji's Pure Series" raw puerh cakes. Smoky, sweet, bitter; powerful energy.

2011 Cao Gen Raw Puerh from MyTeaPal Club. I usually associate Bulang with burly smoky teas, but this is not. The tea itself is fairly sweet and not super assertive. Stored in Guangdong since 2011, the assertive part of this raw puerh is the storage flavor. A good contrast to the clean storage of yesterday's Mangfei Dashu.

Been hitting the W2T a little hard, so switched things up today. 2019 Bitter End Laomane raw puerh from Bitterleafteas. Surprisingly complex and enjoyable for such a young tea.
