Today I broke up the last of a xiaguan iron cake. I'm not sure how to approach the rest of my puer stash because I don't know the future of Chinese tea availability. I'm going to start mixing some local Asian grocery store oolong and green tea finds into my rotation. Can folks recommend any labels to look out for? I will ofc share my own discoveries, too.

Probably, the most "meh" tea I have from YS

"Golden Pig" #Sheng #Puerh from Lincang, Yunnan [Autumn '19, YS]

It was described as bitter and astringent as a young sheng, and it was so in 2021 when I ordered it, ans it's still about the same in 2023

I've stored it in my "pumidor" at about 60% RH 25C for almost two years, but such mode didn't affect this tea (likely not hot and [wet enough), so it wasn't aging (at least in better direction).

Going to #ColdBrew it to be able to drink.

Today is going to be a Strong Tea kind of day.
