Всем привет, меня зовут Антон Рыбочкин, я старший разработчик бэкенда в команде Yandex Monium. Monium — это платформа для сбора, хранения и анализа телеметрии (метрик, логов и трейсов). Она позволяет дать оценку того, как себя чувствует сервис, находить причины сбоев, оперативно уведомлять об аномалиях. Изначально эта платформа развивалась как внутренняя система для мониторинга сервисов в масштабах всего Яндекса. Отсюда высокие требования к надёжности сервиса — телеметрия должна быть доступна, даже когда другие сервисы лежат. И с точки зрения бэкенда в таких кейсах есть свои вызовы, один из них — сборка мусора, или сокращённо GC. В этой статье я расскажу про наш опыт с разными сборщиками мусора: с какими проблемами Java GC мы столкнулись в разных сервисах, как их можно диагностировать и как решить.

Revolutionen entstehen aus Misserfolgen oder: Eine bessere Welt ist irgendwie möglich
Letztes Wochenende habe ich meinen Van gepackt und bin zur anarchistischen #Buchmesse im #Shenandoah Valley in #Virginia gefahren. Über die Buchmesse selbst werde ich nicht viel erzählen, nur dass das Essen kostenlos und unglaublich lecker war – was bei großen Gemeinschaftsveranstaltungen selten der Fall ist – und dass die Leute dort freundlich und offen waren. Was ich am modernen Anarchismus liebe, vor allem in kleineren Städten und ländlicheren Gegenden, ist, dass er nicht mehr so aggressiv subkulturell ist. Ich war wahrscheinlich die Einzige dort, die eine Punkweste trug, und es gab mehrere von uns in schönen, bunten Sommerkleidern. (Na ja, mein weinrotes Kleid war nach meinen Maßstäben bunt.)
Klar, Subkultur liegt mir am Herzen, und klar, der Großteil meiner Klamotten ist schwarz, aber meine Vorliebe für monochrome Mode hat nichts mit meinem Interesse an anarchistischer Politik zu tun.
Ich wurde gebeten, eine Art Eröffnungsrede zu halten, eine Rede zum Thema und Slogan „Eine bessere Welt ist möglich“.
Ich hatte mir überlegt, eine Rede zu schreiben und sie dann auch als #Substack-Beitrag der Woche zu verwenden, aber ich habe sie nicht rechtzeitig fertig bekommen. Also habe ich gemacht, was ich immer mache: Ich habe ein paar Notizen zusammengeschrieben und dann einfach drauflos geredet. Wie man sich vorstellen kann, fällt es mir ziemlich leicht, vor einem Mikrofon über alles Mögliche zu reden.
„Eine bessere Welt ist möglich“ ist ein lustiges Thema, weil es so ... wahr und unwahr ist, auf eine selbstverständliche Art und Weise. Man kann sich in dieser Welt nicht umsehen, ohne zu erkennen, dass es besser sein könnte. Zum einen könnten wir in einer Welt ohne live gestreamten Völkermord leben. Das wäre sicherlich eine bessere Welt. Wir könnten in einem Land leben, in dem es keine #Konzentrationslager gibt, die gleichzeitig als #Betrugsfabriken dienen und Konzentrationslager-Merchandise an die Fans von Konzentrationslagern verkaufen, die #Faschisten an die Macht in den Vereinigten Staaten gewählt haben.
Es ist wirklich leicht, sich eine Welt ohne diese Dinge vorzustellen, denn vor ein paar Jahren lebten wir in einer schrecklichen Welt, die irgendwie besser war als unsere heutige Welt, weil es diese besonderen Gräueltaten nicht gab.
Seht ihr, eine Sache, die ich aus der Geschichte gelernt habe, ist, dass es immer noch schlimmer kommen kann. Es gibt eigentlich keinen Tiefpunkt, den wir erreichen können. Es gibt Schlechtes und Schlimmeres und noch Schlimmeres, aber es gibt kein Schlimmstes. (Oder, um es grammatikalisch korrekt auszudrücken, es gibt kein „schlimmstes“.) Es ist erschreckend zu erkennen, dass es keine Grenze für das Leid gibt, das in der Welt existieren kann, aber es ist auch – hört mir zu – seltsamerweise etwas, das unserem #Optimismus helfen kann.
Denn wenn es keine Grenze für das Leid gibt, dann ist alles Leid, das gerade nicht geschieht, auf die unglaublichen Anstrengungen von buchstäblich Milliarden von Menschen zurückzuführen, die dafür sorgen, dass das Leid nicht noch schlimmer wird. Wir schaffen es, unendlich viel Leid zu verhindern, auch wenn wir nicht alles Leid verhindern können.
Eine bessere Welt ist immer möglich, weil eine schlechtere Welt immer möglich ist. Es gibt dieses große Drama, das sich wahrscheinlich seit Anbeginn der Menschheit, aber ganz sicher seit Beginn der Imperien, des Staates, der Hierarchien, des Kapitalismus und all dem Scheiß abspielt. Es gibt ein großes Drama zwischen Unterdrückung und Befreiung, und wir alle sind Akteure in diesem Drama, ob wir uns das so vorstellen oder nicht.
Ich kann dir also sagen, dass eine bessere Welt möglich ist, und ich kann dir sagen, dass der Kampf für eine bessere Welt einen unmittelbaren Wert hat. Selbst wenn wir nicht „gewinnen“ und keine utopische Gesellschaft schaffen, „gewinnen“ wir, weil wir durch unser Handeln oft zumindest ein gewisses Maß an Leid verhindern können. Unsere Siege sind schwer zu messen, weil wir nicht in einer noch schlimmeren Welt leben, in der wir ohne die gemeinsame Arbeit, die wir alle leisten, leben würden.
Es gibt auch keinen endgültigen Sieg in diesem dramatischen Kampf. Für keine der beiden Seiten. Im Moment leben die meisten von uns in einer kapitalistischen Gesellschaft, und diejenigen von uns in den #USA und anderswo leben in kapitalistischen Gesellschaften, die sich gerade zu faschistischen Gesellschaften entwickeln. Aber der Faschismus wird niemals dauerhaft siegen. Er wird immer zusammenbrechen. Wenn wir jemals eine freie, egalitäre #Gesellschaft schaffen, wird auch diese nicht statisch sein. Auch sie würde wahrscheinlich eines Tages zusammenbrechen. Es wird immer Höhen und Tiefen geben.
Dieser Gedanke lässt mich nicht hoffnungslos zurück. Er macht mich entschlossen. Ich freue mich darauf, meinen kleinen Teil zum Kampf für eine bessere Welt beizutragen.
Ich kann Ihnen auch sagen, dass eine bessere Welt möglich ist, weil ich in einer besseren Welt gelebt habe. Die bessere Welt, in der ich gelebt habe, war zwar klein und nur vorübergehend. Ich war bei anarchistischen Treffen mit Hunderten von Menschen, die ein oder zwei Wochen lang zusammenlebten, horizontal I#nfrastruktur aufbauten und Entscheidungen gemeinsam trafen. Ich war bei morgendlichen Treffen, bei denen alle gemeinsam festlegten, welche Arbeiten zu erledigen sind, und sich dann freiwillig für diese Arbeiten meldeten – auch für unattraktive Arbeiten wie #Geschirrspülen und #Grabenausheben.
Ich habe mit Menschen gesprochen, die noch bessere Welten erlebt haben, bessere Welten, die in größerem Maßstab aufgebaut waren und länger Bestand hatten. Ich habe mit Leuten gesprochen, die Zeit in Chiapas, Mexiko, verbracht haben, wo sie unter den Zapatisten gelebt haben, die sich auf eine basisdemokratische #Infrastruktur stützen, um ihre Entscheidungen zu treffen und füreinander zu sorgen. Ich habe mit Leuten gesprochen, die Zeit im Nordosten #Syriens verbracht haben, wo Millionen von Menschen mit „demokratischem #Konföderalismus“ experimentieren, einem weiteren basisdemokratischen System, das sowohl von indigenen Lebensweisen als auch von den Schriften des #Anarchisten Murray #Bookchin inspiriert ist.
