@dthompson I have some late-summer planted King Tut Peas (from the UK) that are still alive even though we (Seattle) had weird weather in October that resulted in them not making peas, and I'll be planting them asap this early spring as they have proven to be stunningly cold-hardy. I've tagged those posts #ShellingPeas and you can see how beautiful the flowers are.

My #ShellingPeas are still alive and it's Dec 9th. It's clear they aren't going to make beans, but they do get enough daylight to keep the upper vines flowering. Amazing.

The #ShellingPeas are still going! These are those King Tut peas, an heirloom from England.

Our temps this November have ranged from highs around 50F and overnight mostly in the low 40sF. (10C days to 4C nights sort of range)

The #ShellingPeas don't really look like they will get all the way to making functional peas, but they are gorgeous and I'll be glad to plant some again in the spring. #florespondence

My #ShellingPeas continue to yellow at the bottom, but I just found a flower! My hope for edibles is hanging on by its fingernails.

I drew a bucket of water from the rain barrels and set it in the sun to warm up, and I'll water the peas later in the afternoon, as that should help them recover from the frosty last couple of days.

Two frosty nights down to about 35F/2C and the garden in hanging in there. These temps are 4-6 weeks early and shouldn't last too long.
#Raspberries still berrying, but growing golden canes show dieback. #Nasturtiums clearly look like I need to make more pesto. #ShellingPeas may wind up as green compost. They've not made any flowers and lower 12" are yellowing already. #FallCrops #florespondence
