  1. Another #boardgame off the #shelfofshame
Tempus by #MartinWallace is a 2-5 player civ-lite game published in 2006. Graphics wise it shows its age.
It does give the 4x feel in a few hours. I'd play it again. Perhaps I won't wait 14 years. That's how long I have owned my copy.

  2. Monday night #VCSBG #boardgames & #craftbeer

First play for Moa designed by #MartinWallace. This has been on my #shelfofshame for 5 years. It was good to get it played although we did do one thing slightly wrong. For such a simple-ish #boardgame the rules could have been better. Inconsistent terminology usage and key concepts buried deep in paragraphs of text. How about a bit of highlighting of key text.

It was a close game. I came second via the tie-breaker!

  3. Saturday at the #WargameBootcamp #PacificonGameeXpo consisted on me teaching Reluctant Enemies #boardgame
This is one of the smaller, in size and scale, games in the OCS series by #MultimanPublishing
Naty had specifically requested that game. It was on his #ShelfOfShame and wanted to get started on OCS.

As a learning game the goal was to concentrate the key mechanics of modes, supply, and combat.

Many thanks to Art Howe for providing his wide OCS experience.

Little bit light on historical #wargames but lots of variety with 11 #boardgames played that are new to me. Got a few off the #ShelfOfShame in the process. The soon to be released 3-player semi co-op game Land and Freedom on the Spanish Civil War was the standout. So was the first #ConQuestVentura game day. Good times.
