Das Thema ist aber schon sehr alt. Vor ca 10 Jahren gab es mal sharrows, die die Öffentlichkeit bewegten. Was dabei herausgekommen ist, kann ich gar nicht sagen. Ist dann in der Versenkung verschwunden.

Bei mir in der Nähe sind nur Halten- & Parkverbote, wo Sharrows gezeichnet wurden, aufgestellt worden.

Die Anreinys waren nicht in der Lage sich an die Straßenseite, die sie mit der Gemeinde vereinbart hatten zu halten.

Schade das dafür immer Verbote notwendig sind 😒

Leider ein weiterer trauriger Beweis was #Sharrows für einen Nutzen für Radfahrys haben: Keinen.

Ist im Grunde nur eine teure Bepinselung. Autofahry kann auch nicht gestraft werden. Geht nur, wenn hier zusätzlich Halt- und Parkverbot verordnet wird.

Bei unserer Politik sind #Sharrows so beliebt, dass sie schon auf Gehwegen eingezeichnet werden.

Bisher war mir nur bekannt, dass Sharrows als optische Hilfe auf der Fahrbahn aufgemalt werden dürfen, um Autofahrys aufmerksam zu machen, wo mit Radverkehr zu rechnen ist. Und das Radfahrys eben nicht ganz Rechts fahren müssen, sondern außerhalb des Dooring-Bereiches.

An welcher Stelle ein Radfahry auf den Gehweg wechseln darf, ist allerdings nicht eingezeichnet.

Premiere in #Hamburg:

Erstes (grafisch leider suboptimales) Hinweisschild auf den gesetzlich vorgeschriebenen Sicherheitsabstand von mindestens 1,5 m für Autofahrer:innen beim Überholen von Radfahrer:innen.

Für den rechtskonformen Abstand der ebenfalls neuen #Sharrows in der #Elbchaussee von 0,5 m zum Bordstein hat's dann leider nicht mehr gereicht.

@scheme ich findie #sharrows viel sinnvoller. Mittig auf der Fahrspur. Signalisieren: Hier sind Fahrradfahrer (legal) unterwegs und bereiten unwissenden Blechdosenlenker genau darauf vor.

Dann noch große Transparenter ähnlich wie in Schuttertal letztes Jahr gesehen....

Random bicycle policy tidbit: the traffic planners here were bemoaning the fact they can no longer just put a "sharrow" anywhere to fix lack of bicycle lanes, apparently there's some requirement now that a traffic study and speeds meet specific requirement. (good, actually, because some sharrows are really "suicide by bicycle lane" here). I suspect some California law... #sharrows #BikeTooter

kleiner Nachtrag zum Projekt der #Sharrows in Stuttgart.
Spätestens als sie diese Markierung angebracht haben, hätten sie sich mal nach deren Sinnhaftigkeit fragen sollen.
Aber wer weiß, vielleicht ist denken bei der Stuttgarter Stadtverwaltung ja verboten? Das würde zumindest einiges erklären. :-/

schon wieder neue #Sharrows in Stuttgart. Diesmal in gelb auf der #Schickhardtstraße, vom Schöttleplatz etwa zur Hälfte in Richtung Schwabtunnel.
Der Effekt ist - wie immer bei #Zauberfarbe - ziemlich nahe Null.

Hmm... 🤔 You're right. Why should there even be sharrows? It can imply that No #sharrows means No #bikes allowed.

I'm more on comparing it with our bike lanes. Most are unprotected*. No barrier. Just paint. Supposedly to say that the lane is reserved* for #bicycles. But obstacles are common -- vehicles parking on it, people standing on it instead of the sidewalk, and such. So for me, sharrows are more sensible since no one cares anyway. Let's share it all.
