CW: Spoilers for Diamine Inkvent 2025 December 8th
I follow rolanni on Dreamwidth, who is better known as Sharon Lee, who is a writer. The Liaden books, which she co wrote with her sadly missed partner Steve Miller, feature Clan Korval, whose clan symbol is a dragon hovering over a giant tree, and the clan motto, "Flaran Cha'menthi" which means "I Dare".
Sharon was feeling a bit down in her last entry, so I commented that my next Inkvent ink would feature the clan motto. It was nice that this Diamine "Dreamcatcher" Ultrasheen was pretty snazzy!
It's a lovely ink!I don't often do fan art, so #LiadenUniverse and #SharonLee and #LeeandMiller folks enjoy!

In an ally, considerations of house, clan, planet, race are insignificant beside two prime questions, which are: 1. Can he shoot? 2. Will he aim at your enemy?

Do I have any dance scenes in my stories?Unfortunately no.
But I know a guy . . .
There is a fantastic dance scene (any number of them, actually), in Fledgling by Sharon Lee & Steve Miller. The protag, Theo, ends up enrolled in a dance class to help with "clumsiness."After a few classes, Theo demos answering the teacher's moves, in a dance very close to martial arts . . .

I recommend everything by #OctaviaButler and #KurtVonnegut.
#SharonLee writes a fun space opera series titled #Liaden.
My favorite newish author is #NKJemisin.
I recommend to everyone The Elements of Style, written by #WilliamStrunk. It focused my prose at home and work. The Kindle edition's formatting is unusable.
