Woah. No idea where I got this and no idea how rare these are. Found it last night looking for something else. I searched eBay for active and sold listings, nothing. It’s called “Quake Shareware id stuff”. It has the 1st episode of Quake along with basically every id game released up to that point. You run “flow.exe” right on the disc, select what game you want to buy, it generates a code and you call a phone number to pay for it. It’s like proto-steam.

I've been producing a twice-yearly newsletter for the Dartmoor Tinworking Research Group since 2015. I started with Windows Publisher and continued out of reluctance to learn to use anything else (i.e. laziness!). Now support for Publisher is being withdrawn (just like that) and I need to find an alternative. I've had a go at Scribus but does anyone know of any freeware more similar to Publisher?
