  1. If you've passed the 93-day window, don't give up!

Microsoft keeps a backup copy of your site collection for an additional 14 days.

Have you ever had to contact Microsoft Support for a full site collection restore?

  2. Security is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

Copilot cannot guess security permissions. It must enforce existing SharePoint Permissions, making access control the fundamental security metadata.

    Are your permissions truly clean?

  3. Document classification is not an operational cost that disappears. It is a strategic investment.

If you want Copilot to be accurate, fast, and secure, the information feeding its index must be structured.

    Agree or disagree?

  4. If you have three versions of a policy with identical body text, can't know which is official.

A metadata field like “Version: Final” provides the administrative context Copilot needs to prioritize the most authoritative source.

    What context are you missing?

  5. Metadata isn't optional for AI precision!

Without "tags" like Status: Approved or Department: Legal, the search system lacks the precision to distinguish between a final policy and a deprecated draft.

    How precise is your index?

  9. @FeralRobots #SharePoint *used* to be better, before it became #SharePointOnline - now, it is slowly getting better, but still more of a "walled-garden" than it has ever been. (Be aware, I am very biased - I used to work for #MSFT as a SharePoint PFE, and was a MVP for a few years)

  10. Is it possible to connect to the Access Requests list on a #SharePointOnline site using #PowerAutomate? I've had mixed success connecting with the guid but I'm unable to create an environment variable in a solution that links to the Access Requests list. Why? Is there an attribute I can set to make it appear in the list like a standard list?

  11. Using the Graph API to Extract Sensitivity Labels

This article is about the use of sensitivity labels in SharePoint Online. Sensitivity Labels provide a way to classify and protect documents. By using Sensitivity Labels in SharePoint Online, organizations can improve the protection of sensitive data on their intranet and meet compliance requirements. bit.ly/41UHc8E

  12. Help guide this post to the right people on Mastodon. I’ve inherited a #SharePointOnline site. Need some #BestPractices advice / guides. I have experience with SharePoint as a user with somewhat extended privileges, but never as a full admin.

I see plenty of guides and articles out there, but looking for tried and true recommendations from those in the trenches so I can start out strong. Thanks!

  13. I want to create a #sharepoint list with a lookup column to another list located on a different SharePoint site. Is this possible? #SharePointOnline
