💧 Mientras unos buscamos desesperadamente la sombra que queda libre en el parque, en una comunidad residencial de la provincia china de Shanxi han optado por una solución bastante ingeniosa: un sistema de nebulización instalado en los tejados que crea una fina niebla capaz de reducir la temperatura de las cubiertas entre 5 y 8 °C en apenas unos minutos.
La idea no consiste en empapar los edificios, sino en aprovechar la evaporación del agua para disipar el calor acumulado.
Con ello se consigue que los tejados absorban menos temperatura y, de paso, disminuya la necesidad de usar tanto el aire acondicionado.Con olas de calor cada vez más frecuentes, este tipo de soluciones demuestran que, a veces, combatir las altas temperaturas no depende solo de consumir más energía, sino también de aplicar un poco de ingenio.

One of my favorite things on socials is being able to scroll and get inspired. While scrolling, I was reminded of this amazing sunset that I saw in the rear view mirror as we were driving back to our hotel. My biggest regret is that we hadn’t waited another hour above the Yellow River in Shanxi. Maybe I’ll make a composite but for now I just wanted to share this one.

En este caso, nos vamos al pueblo minero de #Datong (#大同), en la provincia #china de #Shanxi (#山西), donde se encuentra un templo encaramado a la roca desde hace más de 15 siglos.
Construido por un solo hombre, el monje Liao Ran (了然), el lugar es un templo de madera suspendido a 50 metros de altura que, además, es el único en combinar las tres religiones tradicionales chinas: #Budismo, #Taoísmo y #Confucianismo.
