My latest print article for the local paper, published last week, revisits the styles of #shandy and #radler, which I last wrote about for the paper way back in 2017. Both #DeschutesBrewery and #WorthyBrewing released examples of these this summer, which I tried and reviewed.

#PublicCoastBrewing recently released its first-ever #shandy, incorporating blueberries from the Public Coast Farm to come up with Blueberry Fields Forever. Shandy is traditionally a 50/50 blend of beer and lemonade or lemon/citrus soft drink, though Public Coast’s version tweaks this recipe during the brewing process.

#DeluxeBrewing of Albany, Oregon released a new specialty #beer this month, a collaboration with the #PinkBootsSociety as part of the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day that took place in March. The new brew is April Showers #Shandy, a wheat ale with the Pink Boots Blend of hops from Yakima Chief Hops. Pink lemonade made with hibiscus was added during secondary fermentation.
