I never applied for British citizenship when I lived there. But some of my European friends did and got themselves UK passports. Some of British people were telling us "You might get a British passport, but you'll never be equal to us"
They were right. British law allows for depriving of citizenship only for people who have been born in Britain. If you were naturalized, they can kick you out even if it makes you stateless. 1/

I’m not sure how much sympathy I have for #ShamimaBegum but I do find this case to be borderline disgraceful and opposite to how a democratic society should work. #Shamima here is guilty until proven innocent. In a decision made by one person who is not even a legal judge. With no way to remedy her life.
She should have been judged in a court of law based on crimes and evidence. If proven guilty then, by all means, deliver punishment.
