    c1710 AD #MughalArt #IndianMiniaturePainting from #Agra by artist Hashim sold by Christie's on 25 April 2013 for £22,500.

    This #art is from 'Ardeshir Album' which contained many paintings from reign of #ShahJahan (1628-58) was probably assembled during the reign of #mughal ruler Mohammad Shah 'Rangila' & was dispersed in auction in the early 1970s.

  16. As I have my Breakfast in a set of ordinary 'Luminarc' crockery, I can only envy #NurJahan wife of #Mughal ruler #ShahJahan who used to have her meals in the most exquisite crockery and cutlery of her time.

    Like this c1600 AD 'Plate' sold by Sotheby's.

    The edges have a floral design made of Gold Thread, Rubies, Emeralds and Green Glass inlay.
